Natural Variations: We supply natural botanical products and living specimens. You accept that pure lavender essential oils, cosmetics, and dried lavender products may exhibit minor variations in colour, scent, and texture between production batches. All cosmetic and body care items are formulated in full compliance with UK Cosmetics Regulations (Schedule 34 of the Product Safety Amendment), but natural botanical traits remain inherently unique.
Live Plants (Seasonal Appearance & Reality): Images of plants on our website represent mature specimens in peak summer bloom and are for illustrative purposes only. The physical appearance, size, shape, and growth stage of the live plants delivered will vary significantly depending on the time of year you place your order.
Dormancy & Pruning: Depending on the season, plants may be dispatched in a dormant state (without leaves or flowers), or they may have been professionally cut back by our nursery team to encourage healthy root establishment and safe transit. You acknowledge that receiving a plant in its natural seasonal state or pruned form does not constitute a fault or damage, and we will not accept returns or issue refunds on this basis.
Stock Availability: All orders are subject to stock availability and seasonal harvest yields. If an item or plant is unavailable, we will notify you as soon as possible and issue a full refund.
While we try to ensure all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of any goods you have ordered (for example, a technical glitch listing a product for £0.00), we are under no obligation to fulfil that order at the incorrect price.
We will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat the order as cancelled and issue a full refund.
No contract exists between you and Norfolk Lavender Trading Limited for the sale of any products until we have explicitly dispatched the goods and sent you a Dispatch Confirmation Email. The automated order acknowledgement email sent immediately after payment is merely a receipt of your request, not an acceptance of your order.
We reserve the right to decline, halt, or cancel any order at our absolute discretion without providing a reason. All transactions are screened via third-party secure payment gateways. We reserve the absolute right to cancel any order instantly if it is flagged as higher-risk, fraudulent, or in violation of security check protocols.
Delayed Dispatch: We aim to dispatch goods within 2–5 working days, but delivery dates are estimates only and time is not of the essence. We are not liable for any financial or personal loss caused by delayed delivery.
Extreme Weather: To guarantee plant health, we reserve the right to hold back the shipping of live plants during periods of extreme frost or heatwaves.
Transfer of Risk: Risk of damage to or loss of the products passes to you at the physical point of delivery.
Lavender oils, glass bottles, and live plants are fragile. You must inspect your goods immediately upon receipt. Any claims for items that arrived broken, leaking, damaged, or short-shipped must be reported to our customer service email with photographic evidence within 48 hours of delivery. Failure to report damage within this 48-hour window deems the goods accepted in perfect condition, and we reserve the right to refuse subsequent claims.
In accordance with UK consumer law, you have a statutory right to cancel your purchase within 14 days from the date of delivery. However, we operate a strict policy regarding what can and cannot be returned based on the nature of our products:
Unopened Goods (14-Day Window): You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind and return an item, provided it is completely unopened, unused, and in its original, undamaged packaging. To exercise this right, you must explicitly notify us via email at hello@norfolk-lavender.co.uk stating your name, order number, and clear intent to cancel before the 14 days expire.
Return Shipping Liability & Risk: The customer is entirely responsible for the arrangement and cost of return shipping. Norfolk Lavender Trading Limited accepts absolutely no liability for returned items that are lost, delayed, or damaged in transit back to our facility. Risk remains with the customer until the products are physically received and signed for by our team. We strongly advise using a tracked and insured delivery service; a refund will not be processed for any returned items that do not arrive or that arrive damaged.
Opened Goods (Strictly Non-Returnable): For health, hygiene, and product safety reasons, we do not accept returns or issue refunds for any items that have been opened. This includes any skincare, soaps, body washes, pillow sprays, or essential oils where the protective hygiene seal or bottle cap has been broken or tampered with. It also includes live plants that have been removed from their transport packaging.
Allergies & Misuse: Many of our products contain highly concentrated, natural Lavandula essential oils. It is the customer's sole responsibility to check ingredient lists for known botanical allergies and to conduct a patch test before cosmetic application. We accept zero liability for adverse skin reactions, medical issues, or injuries resulting from allergies, misuse, or ingestion of our products.
Financial Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, Norfolk Lavender Trading Limited’s total liability to you for any loss or damage arising in connection with an order shall be strictly limited to the total price paid by you for that specific order. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of profit or loss of business opportunity.
We are not liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under these Terms that is caused by events outside our reasonable control. This includes (but is not limited to) acts of God, severe weather, crop/harvest failures, agricultural disease, industrial action or postal strikes, courier failures, war, fire, or government-mandated restrictions.
If any part of these Terms is found by a UK court to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that specific clause will be severed, and the rest of the Terms will remain fully valid and enforceable to the maximum extent of the law.
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
